Light 'n Easy French Italian AND Spanish for Gringos

Summer is the perfect time to “get you feet wet.”  Join a stress-free, beginning class and dabble in a little, “je ne sais quoi.” A light, commitment-free, summer diversion that helps you keep your promise to learn a foreign language one day. The material is clearly presented and the teachers are friendly and patient.  Especially designed to ensure everyone is comfortable and successful.  Courses are all scheduled to accommodate summer vacations – pay for only 6 of the 8 sessions ! In the fall you can confidently join our regular 1a level class if you wish.

Topics and Grammar Covered:

1. Getting To Know People (singular/plural nouns, masc./fem. indefinite articles, family & house vocab.)

2. Arrival: Finding A Place To Spend The Night ( masc./fem. definite articles, pronouns, questions)

3. Let’s Go On Foot: (“-ir” verbs, prepositions, neighborhood vocabulary)

4. Public Transportation (“-re” verbs, irregular verbs, preposition review)

5. Time and Numbers   (numbers to 100, ordinal numbers, adverbs of time, possessive pronouns)

6. Trains (train vocabulary, reflexive verbs, “I would like…”, “Could you…?”)

7. Countries and Languages (nationalities)

Included:

Pay for only 6 but take 8 classes, “Clarification phrases” © reference sheet

Materials for Senior Classes: "Fast & Fun Way." (Spanish or French or Italian) book and CD

Methods: Whole group presentation, group repetition/drill, dialogues on CD, partner practice, weekly review, “real situation” role-plays in small groups

Language: Modified Immersion Approach (60% target language/40% English )
