 Background
  Description
Language Camps in the Summer no background A lighter approach to language learning - with much emphasis on FUN, similar to our summer camps.  Children learn basic vocabulary in a fun club-like atmosphere. (75% immersion)

Conversation #1

'younger' 5-7 yrs

no background These classes are a bit more focused on language learning than the summer camps.  This is the 1st level in Savoir Faire's articulated steps toward fluency. Introduces 300 vocab words (90% immersion)

Bridges to Literacy

 1 yr background Similar to Conversation #1 'younger', but with more focus on children responding in complete sentences. We designed this class for students after they have completed at least 1 year in our immersion preschool; however, if your child has some background in the language they are welcome to join the group.  Builds receptive language and introduction to literacy.  Introduces 200 new vocabulary words.   (90% immersion)
   
Age 6 & up    

Conversation #1

'older' 8-10 yrs

 no background This class is for children 8-10 years old who are brand new beginners.  It is similar to the Conversation #1 'younger' but with more focus on reading and writing in the target language.(90% immersion)
Conversation #2 2 yr background minimum After 2 years in the target language, children are ready to build vocabulary and really start to speak and read in the new language.
Conversation #3 3 yr background minimum Thois is the next level after Conversation #2.
Age 9 & up    
Passport to Fluency 3 yr background minimum These are the final steps to fluency.  At this level, more formal, traditional grammer lessons are introduced.  3 years to complete.  Similar to year 1-3 of high school. (100% immersion)

Kindergarten and Elementary

In our immersion programs children learn to speak and listen by "doing". Our learning centers and motivatioanl activities build important foundations for future academic pursuits. At Savoir Faire Language Institute, kids are exposed to a second language through songs, games, stories, puppets, art, skits and more. The curriculum for all age levels is designed for the kids to experience success as they build their second language skills.  Literacy starts during "On the way to Conversation" #1.
